Abstract:
This vehicle strength member comprises a top board and a pair of vertical walls, and is formed to have a hat-like cross-sectional shape. The vehicle strength member is also provided with a plurality of folds that are disposed in a longitudinal direction so as to be folded at folding lines extending in a short direction, whereby the vehicle strength member is curved as a whole. The top board comprises: a recessed portion that is disposed at the center thereof so as to extend in the longitudinal direction; and a pair of protruding stripes that are disposed at both sides of the recessed portion so as to extend in the longitudinal direction. The top board is also provided with at least one protruding bead that is disposed at a position corresponding to each fold so as to extend in the short direction in the recessed portion. Both ends of said protruding bead are coupled to side portions of the respective protruding stripes.
