Abstract:
The vehicle surroundings image display control device is equipped with an acquiring device that acquires images taken of the surroundings of a vehicle (steps 110, 115), a brightness analysis device that calculates each brightness change amount for within a plurality of determining areas (R21 to R26) from each taken image (step 120), an history creation area determining device that selects a determined area having a brightness change amount less than a certain threshold as an area for creating history (step 125), and a display control device that displays an image for creating history, which is within the area for creating history, together with an image for the vehicle on an image display device (3) by using a view point that looks down from above the vehicle, changes the relative disposition of the image for creating history with respect to the image for the vehicle according to the amount of movement of the car, and then displays the image for creating history (steps 135, 140, and 145).
