Abstract:
A vehicle-surroundings monitoring device includes a positional information acquisition means for acquiring the current position of the vehicle, a vehicle-mounted camera for imaging the outside of the vehicle, a display unit for presenting an image, a caution area information storage means for storing information related to a caution area where use of the vehicle-mounted camera is recommended, and a control means for displaying an image of the outside of the vehicle, that is, outputting the image obtained from the vehicle-mounted camera to the display unit. When the control means determines that the caution area is located in the vicinity of the acquired current position, the control means displays an image of the outside of the vehicle.
