Abstract:
Position mapping is performed whereby positional relationships in the detection range of a range sensor (2), which detects obstructions (100), are represented by coordinates on a camera image, which was taken by a camera unit (3) that images the vehicle surroundings. Transformation parameters are derived that transform the mapping in such a manner that the position of the obstruction, which was detected by the range sensor (2), occupies a designated position on the camera image, which was position mapped. Using said transformation parameters, the camera image is transformed such that the position of the obstruction occupies a designated position.
