Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for calibrating a vehicle system comprising a number of interconnected components, under which an electronic control unit is located. The method involves: placing a semiconductor-based transponder unit, which is not supplied with power and responds to a radio signal, on each component of the system; coding the transponder unit with data concerning the components; exciting the transponder unit with a radio scanner in order to read the data from the transponder unit, and; writing the data into the electronic control unit once the component has been installed in the vehicle system.
