Abstract:
A vehicle travel control apparatus (100) is provided with an arithmetic logic unit (110), and device controllers (200-500) for controlling the operations of traveling devices mounted on a vehicle. The arithmetic logic unit (110) is provided with: an outside-vehicle environment recognition unit (111) for recognizing an outside-vehicle environment; route setting units (112-115) for setting a route to be travelled by the vehicle; a vehicle motion determination unit (116) for determining a desired motion of the vehicle to follow the set route; and a driving assisting image generation unit (150) for generating, using an image captured by a camera (70) and information about the outside-vehicle environment recognized by the outside-vehicle environment recognition unit (111), a display image for assisting driving.
