Abstract:

Provided is a vehicle travel state monitoring device that displays a picture of an area forwardly of a travelling vehicle and measured data of a vehicle travel state, such as acceleration acting on the vehicle, as images on the same screen, the device including a function of storing the displayed images as video data. A portable terminal device is built inside with a vehicle travel state measuring means (13) including a GPS (131), a triaxial acceleration sensor (132), and a triaxial angular velocity sensor (133). The portable terminal device is provided with a composed image creation means (16) that creates a composed image of a plurality of data items composed at predetermined time intervals, the data items including measured data measured by the vehicle travel state measuring means (13), photography data acquired by a photography means (12), and Web information data acquired by a Web information acquisition unit (11a). The composed image is displayed on a display screen (17G) as a video, and the data of the video are stored in a storage means (19) as travel record data of the vehicle.
