Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle turning control device that performs yaw moment control accounting for the limit of tire grip, makes it possible to stabilize a vehicle, and does not cause impart any discomfiture to the driver even when a switch is made from the yaw moment control to control for stabilizing the orientation of the vehicle. This vehicle turning control device is provided with a target yaw rate calculation means (25), a yaw moment calculation means (27), a yaw rate deviation calculation means (29), a road surface frictional coefficient calculation means (24), and a control gain calculation means (26). As the calculated yaw rate deviation increases or as the estimated road surface frictional coefficient decreases, the control gain calculation means (26) causes a yaw response characteristic used by the target yaw rate calculation means (25) to approach a reference yaw response characteristic from a predetermined yaw response characteristic.
