Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle turning control device which changes the control gain according to the magnitude of a yaw rate deviation or a road surface friction coefficient so as to be unobtrusive to the driver and is not susceptible to unstable target yaw rates when doing so. This vehicle turning control device is equipped with a calculation means (25) for a plurality of target yaw rates, a calculation means (27) for a plurality of yaw moments, a yaw rate deviation calculation means (29), a road surface friction coefficient calculation means (24), a control gain calculation means (26), and a target yaw rate correction means (32). The target yaw rate correction means (32) calculates, using at least some of the plurality of calculated target yaw rates, a target yaw rate corresponding the control gain determined on the basis of a vehicle travel information value. The control gain is determined so that the response characteristics approach reference yaw response characteristics from initial yaw response characteristics as the road surface friction coefficient decreases or the yaw rate deviation increases.
