Abstract:
A vehicle visual-recognition control device according to the present invention is provided with: an inside/outside motor that changes the position of a mirror surface for visually recognizing the surroundings of a vehicle; an inside/outside sensor (24) that detects the position of the mirror surface changed by the inside/outside motor on the basis of the resistance value of a sliding resistor, the resistance value changing according to the position of the mirror surface; an ECU (12) that controls the inside/outside motor so as to change the position of the mirror surface to a target position determined in advance on the basis of a detection result of the inside/outside sensor when a predetermined condition for changing the position of the mirror surface is established; and an energization control unit (56) that predicts the time to reach the target position and that controls energization of the sliding resistor R, so as to stop energization of the sliding resistor until the predicted time is reached and so as to restart energization after that.
