Abstract:
A vehicle provided with a continuously variable transmission, in which an ECU sets a shift-controlling accelerator pedal position (Asft) in accordance with an actual accelerator pedal position (A) and controls gear shifting in the continuously variable transmission using the shift-controlling accelerator pedal position (Asft), wherein the ECU updates the shift-controlling accelerator pedal position (Asft) each time the amount of increase (=A-Asft) in the actual accelerator pedal position (A) relative to the shift-controlling accelerator pedal position (Asft) reaches a predetermined value (α), or each time the decrease (=Asft-A) in the actual accelerator pedal position (A) relative to the shift-controlling accelerator pedal position (Asft) reaches a predetermined value (β).
