Abstract:
[Problem] To increase opportunities for calculating fully-charged capacity of a storage device.
[Solution] A vehicle includes an electricity storage device (10) for outputting power to be converted into kinetic energy to allow the vehicle to travel; an engine (26) for generating kinetic energy to allow the vehicle to travel; a generator (MG1) for generating power responsive to the output from the engine; and a controller (30) for controlling the charging and discharging of the electricity storage device. The controller calculates the fully-charged capacity of the electricity storage device using the SOC of the electricity storage device at the start and the end of charging, and the current integrated amount during charging when charging the electricity storage device using power from an external power source, and when charging the electricity storage device using the output power from the generator upon receiving a signal responsive to an operation by a user.
