A vehicular authentication device used in a vehicle provided with a plurality of portable devices. The vehicular authentication device is provided with: a first communication unit (12) in which the communication area is a first area set in advance to the vehicle; a second communication unit (13) in which the communication area is a second area set to the vehicle so as to not overlap with the first area; a first-area-determining unit (F3) for determining, on the basis of the state of communication of the first communication unit with the portable devices, whether or not the portable devices are present in the first area; a second-area-determining unit (F4) for determining, on the basis of the state of communication of the second communication unit with the portable devices, whether or not the portable devices are present in the second area; and a control execution unit (F5) for executing a prescribed vehicle control on the basis of it being determined by the first-area-determining unit that there are no portable devices in the first area and it being determined by the second-area-determining unit that at least one of the portable devices is present in the second area.
