Abstract:
Provided is a deceleration aiding device, which can reflect the intention of a driver faithfully in accordance with the driver’s intention of deceleration and can realize a deceleration control having a tendency not to exceed a road surface friction coefficient.  The deceleration aiding device comprises a road information acquisition unit (51) for acquiring the information of a curve ahead of a vehicle, a curve information calculation unit (52) for calculating the block distance from the vehicle to the entrance position of the curve on the basis of the information of the curve, a starting timing decision unit (54) for deciding a starting timing, at which the deceleration control of the vehicle is started, in accordance with the driven state of the vehicle, a target deceleration calculation unit (55) for calculating the target deceleration at a deceleration control time, and a deceleration control unit (56) for controlling the deceleration of the vehicle on the basis of the target deceleration.  The target deceleration calculation unit (55) calculates the target deceleration so that the deceleration of the vehicle at the deceleration control time and the transverse acceleration of the vehicle at the time of running on the curve become the higher, the shorter the block distance is.
