Abstract:
A vehicular display apparatus (10) is provided with: an image pickup unit (13) that captures a video around a vehicle; an overhead-view video generation unit (122) that generates an overhead-view video by performing viewpoint conversion on the video captured by the image pickup unit (13) as if the vehicle is being seen from above; a display unit (11) arranged inside the vehicle and in front of the driver's seat and having a horizontally elongated shape; an information acquisition unit (125) that acquires information regarding the steering angle of the vehicle; a direction determination unit (124) that determines, on the basis of the information regarding the steering angle of the vehicle acquired by the information acquisition unit (125), whether the steering direction of the vehicle is leftward or rightward; and a display control unit (123) that performs control so that the overhead-view video is displayed with the display mode thereof on the display unit (11) changed in accordance with the steering direction of the vehicle as determined by the direction determination unit (124).
