Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to carry out guidance, in a vehicle equipped with a heads-up display, which aids in comprehension, when a vehicular alert or other special display appears, on the part of a driver who does not understand how the display system operates. An HUD device (10) displays visible information as a virtual image, said HUD device (10) comprising a display device (11) which displays the visible information, and a light projection unit which guides light that includes the visible information that is displayed by the display device to a prescribed projection surface. The HUD device (10) further comprises: guide lights (13) that establishes a relationship between at least the positions of a first display region wherein the virtual image is displayed by the projection of the light projection unit, and a second display region wherein detailed information is displayed, said detailed information having an association with the content of particular information displayed in the display device under prescribed conditions; and an HUD control unit (12) that sets the guide lights (13) to a display state when the particular information is to be displayed on the display device.
