Provided is a vehicular display device comprising: a projection unit (10); a bezel (40) which forms a space (40a) in a frame, the space serving as a light path for emitted light which has transmitted through a light-transmitting part (11) of the projection unit; a light emitting unit (50) that emits light as foreign object detection light and allows the light to enter the space through an exit aperture (42) of the bezel; a light receiving unit (60) that receives external incident light entering from the space side through an incidence aperture (43); a control device (20) that detects the presence or absence of a foreign object in the space on the basis of the amount of change in the received external incident light; and a notification unit (70) which notifies an occupant of entry of the foreign object into the space, wherein the light receiving unit comprises light receiving parts (61) and a light receiving part storage body (62) having light receiving part storage chambers (62a) each of which stores the light receiving part and incidence ports (62b) each of which allows the external incident light to enter the light receiving part storage chamber, and the light receiving part storage body has the light receiving part storage body and the incidence port that allow the foreign object detection light which is of the external incident light entering through the incident port and is other than at least external light to reach the light receiving part.
