Abstract:
A vehicular display unit (1) includes: a main display (2) disposed in a forward position of a driver and adapted to display vehicle information; an external display (3), other than the main display (2), disposed in the forward position of the driver, and switchable between a touch panel display mode for displaying vehicle information and capable of making a touch panel operation and an ordinary display mode for displaying the vehicle information and incapable of making the touch panel operation; a display mover mechanism (10) configured to move the external display (3) in a vehicular forward-rearward direction; and a controller (61) for controlling the moving of the display mover mechanism (10) based on a display movement request from the driver, vehicle speed information and a touch panel display request of the external display (3).
