Abstract:
A vehicular electric motor control device (100) is a vehicular electric motor control device that controls electric motors(MG1, MG2) capable of providing a plurality of characteristics with different torque output upper limits. The vehicular electric motor control device is provided with: a characteristics switching means (120) that switches the characteristics of the electric motors at least between the two characteristics of a first characteristic where an output upper limit is a first predetermined torque (Tr1) and a second characteristic where the output upper limit is a second predetermined torque (Tr2) smaller than the first predetermined torque; a characteristics switching abnormality determination means (130) that determines whether abnormality is present in the switching of the characteristics of the electric motors; and a fail-safe implementing means (140) that implements a fail-safe process in accordance with the characteristics of the electric motors when it is determined that there is abnormality in the switching of the characteristics of the electric motors.
