Abstract:
This vehicular fuel cooling device is equipped with a return passage and a fuel cooling unit that is connected to the return passage. Out of fuel supplied to a fuel injection valve, a surplus portion of the fuel not injected is returned to a fuel tank as return fuel through the return passage. When a portion of a refrigerant of a vehicular air-conditioning device is circulated into the fuel cooling unit, the refrigerant flowing in the fuel cooling unit cools the return fuel by means of heat-exchanging. The fuel cooling device for the vehicle performs control such that while the return fuel is being cooled by circulating the portion of the refrigerant into the fuel cooling unit, the amount of the return fuel to be returned to the fuel tank becomes greater than when the return fuel is not cooled.
