Abstract:
The vehicular head-up display system is equipped with a display panel, a semi-transmissive plate, a chromaticity acquisition unit, and a controller. The display panel has a display surface for displaying an image. The semi-transmissive plate reflects display light from the display surface so as to guide the light to a predetermined space. The chromaticity acquisition unit acquires the chromaticity of a superimposed background of a virtual image on the display surface, which is to be visually recognized by an operator positioned in the predetermined space. The controller calculates the chromaticity of a combined display image comprising a combination of the display surface and the background. The controller controls the chromaticity of the display surface such that the color difference between the chromaticity of the background and the chromaticity of the combined image becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined value.
