Abstract:
By reducing the delay between imaging and display, this invention makes it possible to display vehicle-exterior images that are useful for safe driving. This vehicular imaging device for displaying vehicle-exterior images on a display unit 40 used in a vehicle is provided with an imaging unit 10, an image-signal generation unit 20, and a timing control unit 30. The imaging unit 10 is mounted to the vehicle, images the exterior of the vehicle, and outputs an imaging signal Ds. After a generation process in which the imaging signal Ds is used to generate, for each line of the display unit 40, an image signal D representing an image to display in said line, the image-signal generation unit 20 outputs said image signals D to the display unit 40. The timing control unit 30 controls the timing with which the image-signal generation unit 20 outputs the image signals D to the display unit 40.
