Abstract:
A vehicular information system having an onboard device mounted in a vehicle and a server device connected to the onboard device by a communication line. The server device has: a storage unit for storing statistical parameters for estimating consumed energy or regenerative energy for individual lower links that correspond to the map level of a predetermined layer in map data; and a higher statistical parameter calculator for calculating, on the basis of the statistical parameters for lower links stored in the storage unit, statistical parameters for estimating consumed energy or regenerative energy for individual higher links that correspond to a higher map level.
