Abstract:
The present invention provides a vehicular interior component that is easily assembled and that suppresses the occurrence of entangling mishap. Provided on the design-surface side of a protruding rib (30) is an inclined surface (30a) inclined relative to the protruding direction of the protruding rib (30) so that the plate thickness of the protruding rib (30) gradually decreases in the protruding direction. The protruding rib (30) is provided to a position that is at a peripheral edge (34) in the terminal part (22a) of a base material (22) and is closer to the surface opposite the design surface with respect to the thickness direction of the terminal part (22a). The turn-back terminal part (16a) of a soft surface material (16) can therefore be moved over the protruding rib (30) merely by pushing the turn-back terminal part (16a) in one direction while the turn-back terminal part (16a) presses against the protruding rib (30). Therefore, in addition to the operation of assembly being performed in a simple manner with the application of tension to the soft surface material (16), instances of the rounded shape of the back-surface side of the turn-back terminal part (16a) being ensnared on the protruding rib (30) can be satisfactorily minimized.
