Title:
VEHICULAR POSITION ESTIMATING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/158310
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In this vehicular position estimating system, a plurality of vehicle-mounted communication devices (12) disposed in prescribed positions in a vehicle estimate the position of a mobile terminal relative to the vehicle, by performing wireless communication with the mobile terminal. The plurality of vehicle-mounted communication devices comprise at least three devices attached to the vehicle in mutually different locations, and each of the plurality of vehicle-mounted communication devices generates distance information indicating the distance from the vehicle-mounted communication device to the mobile terminal. The vehicular position estimating system is provided with a position coordinate calculating unit (F51) which calculates position coordinates of the mobile terminal, and an area inside/outside determining unit (F52) which determines whether the mobile terminal is present within a system operation area, wherein, if a prescribed coordinate computation condition is satisfied, the position coordinate calculating unit calculates the position coordinates of the mobile terminal, whereas if the coordinate computation condition is not satisfied, the area inside/outside determining unit determines whether the mobile terminal is present within the system operation area.
