Abstract:
 A vehicular waste-heat recovery device (1) for recovering the waste heat of a vehicle engine (10) as electric power, the device comprising a Rankine cycle (2) and an alternator (3) with a regulator, wherein the appropriate operating status of the Rankine cycle (2) is maintained. The vehicular waste-heat recovery device (1) comprises: a Rankine cycle (2) in which a refrigerant pump (22) for circulating refrigerant, an evaporator (23) for using waste heat of a vehicle engine (10) to heat and evaporate the refrigerant, an expander (24) for generating output through the expansion of the refrigerant passed through the evaporator (23), and a condenser (25) for condensing the refrigerant passed through the expander (24), are arranged in a refrigerant circulation path (21); an alternator (3) with a regulator for charging an onboard battery (13) with generated electric power, the alternator being driven by the output of the expander (24) to generate power; and a control unit (4) for controlling the operating status of the Rankine cycle (2) on the basis of information on the engine status and information on the battery status.
