Abstract:
This vehicular wiper device is provided with: a wiper motor; a control unit that drives, in a reciprocating-rotation manner, the wiper motor and also controls the rotational velocity of the wiper motor; and wipers to which the reciprocating rotation of the wiper motor is transmitted and which swing in a reciprocating manner, thus wiping the wiping-subjected surface of the vehicle with blade rubber in a reciprocating manner, with the inclining direction of the lip part of the blade rubber switching when the swing direction is reversed. The control unit accelerates, in a first acceleration interval (AS1) in which the inclining direction of the lip part is switched, the rotational velocity of the wiper motor from zero to a low-speed first velocity (V1) at a first average acceleration (AC1), and rapidly accelerates, in the earlier half of a second acceleration interval (AS2) following the first acceleration interval (AS1), the rotational velocity to a velocity that is higher than the first velocity (V1) and is ½ times a second velocity (V2), at an average acceleration that is two or more times the first average acceleration (AC1).
