Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a vein authentication apparatus and method for use in a smart device. The apparatus comprises: N chain blocks and connecting members, the N chain blocks being connected by means of the connecting members, a vein identifier being respectively arranged in an inner cavity of M chain blocks, and a microprocessor MCU being arranged in the inner cavity of the chain blocks, N and M both being natural numbers, and N respectively being greater than or equal to 2 and M; the vein identifier is configured to acquire a vein feature image of a random area of an authentication object, and send the vein feature image to the MCU; the MCU is configured to receive the vein feature images sent by the M vein identifiers and compare the vein feature images with a vein feature image template set and, when a preset number of received vein feature images successfully match the vein feature image template set, send a vein authentication success signal to the smart device. The apparatus in the embodiments of the present invention is small, light, and highly robust.
