Abstract:
INTERNATIONAL SEARCH REPORT A tape measure designed to measure locations in three dimensions, including: a flat base (20) on a horizontal plane upon which the device rotates and pivots and a measuring tape (50) that can be projected out of a housing (30) at a range of angles to the horizontal plane of the base, wherein the housing contains of a series of sections which define specific portions of rotational degrees. The angle at which the tape is extended from the housing is determined by manipulation of a driving member (62). The device also includes a marking means at the end of the tape and a movable pivot on the tape so that the marker at the end of the tape can mark arcs.
