Description:
VERSATILE START AND STOP REWINDER MACHINE IN CONTINUOUS

DESCRIPTION:

a) This invention is about the versatile rewinder machine in continuous start & stop and in particularly the invention is the presence of two independent log winding stations, two rewinding stations and two stations for the paper final edge gluing and extraction. The presence of two winding stations allows to unwind the parent reel in continuous with the whole advantages that have the rewinder machines in continuous, but it allows also to create the tissue paper roll (log) with the all advantages of the start & stop rewinder machines.

b) The automatic rewinder machines in continuous and the semiautomatic start & stop rewinder machines are widely used on tissue paper converting plant. They convert parent reels, coming out from paper mills, in rolls (log) having small diameters with same length as the parent reels for then be cut (at the right size of toilet paper, kitchen towel and industrial rolls) from the log saw which is positioned just after the above mentioned rewinder machine in the complete line for tissue paper products. In the past and at today the two existing rewinder machines (automatic rewinder machine in continuous and semiautomatic start & stop rewinder machine) have got advantages and disadvantages in both types. The versatile rewinder machine practically collect the advantages of both rewinders. In the versatile rewinder machine there are used two winding sections. These winding sections are used for rewind the paper in continuous (with never stopping the speed of the paper) because once the winding is finished in one station the new winding begins in the other station, with never stopping the paper. (This allows to have all the advantages of the automatic rewinder machines in continuous). Once the paper winding is finished on one of the station, it stops immediatly after that the paper continues the rewinding on the other station, without the paper never stops, beginning the new winding on the other station. Each winding station, once the paper winding is finished, stops till 0 speed and the paper roll of each winding station is expelled on the properly final edge gluing extractor. This phase in which the wound roll (log) stops, allows to have all the advantages of the semiautomatic start & stop rewinder machines.

c) The invention is proposed to realize one automatic rewinder machine for tissue paper where the tissue paper is rewind into rolls having the most various sizes with roll winding speed always constant and it never stops till the end of the parent reel.

Where it can be wound paper rolls (log) having a minimum diameter of 80mm up to the max diameter of 500mm and more.

Where it can be used cardboard cores having at least a minimum diameter of 25mm and a max diameter of 80mm and more.

Where it can be wound alternatively two paper rolls (log) with different diameters and respectively with intermediate processing on the different paper. For example, it is possible to set up on the versatile rewinder machine one paper roll having a diameter of 500mm without plies embossing in one winding station while on the other winding station it is possible to rewind one paper roll having a diameter of 200mm with plies embossing.

Where the rewinder machine can be fully automatic, and it has got a certainly cost, can be semiautomatic with one operator and with a very low cost, without changing the final production specification and quality of the tissue paper rolls (log).

According to the invention, all of it can be obtained with the versatile start & stop rewinder machine in continuous which is composed of two winding stations and of two rewinding stations and extraction of the finished paper rolls, two gluing stations of the final edge, one cardboard core gluing group and one cardboard core positioning group into the properly winding stations.

A rewinder built according to this invention provides a certain number of advantages. Possibility of rewind (always in continuous, without the paper never stops) paper rolls having a minimum diameter of at least 80mm up to the max diameter of at least 500mm and more, setting up the wished roll diameter. Possibility to use any cardboard core from the minimum diameter of at least 25mm up to the max diameter of 80mm and more, only by setting up the cardboard core diameter on the control panel. Possibility to use only cardboard cores or only steel or aluminium winding mandrels without cardboard cores. All this, obtained by only one rewinder machine, is very helpful because it converts paper in products having the maximum quality and at the same time is very versatile in the changing of the paper rolls sizes and the cores.

The invention will be now described using some examples with reference to drawings as follows: The drawing, Fig.1/1, shows the lateral view of one possible configuration of the versatile start & stop rewinder machine in continuous.

In the drawing, Fig.1/1, we can see the two winding stations, winding station B, winding station C, extraction station D and extraction station E. The winding station B is composed of one and only lower fix roll F, of two upper clamps rolls P that move up in function of the growth of the paper roll diameter (log). The winding station C is exactly the same as the winding station B and is composed of the lower roll G and of two upper clamps L which move up in function of the growth of the paper roll diameter (log). The log are created into the winding station B and C. For example: in the winding station B the roll (log) has joined the wished size and at this point the comb H comes out from the seat extracts on the lower winding roll F and instantly pushes the paper towards the lower winding roll G. This very fast boost causes the breaking of the paper (always at operating speed) in the perforation point and in the same time at an air compressed blow given off the comb's points H push with strength the broken paper edge towards the lower winding roll G, this one has got on its external surface a lot of holes which suck the paper and direct it under the core M. The core M, being previously glued from the cardboard core gluing group T, allows the gluing of the paper to the core and starts the creation of the following paper roll. The same procedure is done when the finished roll is in the winding station C. At this point the comb I comes out from the site obtained on the lower winding roll G and at the same time push the paper towards the lower winding roll B. This very fast boost cause the breaking of the paper (always at operating speed) in the perforation point and at the same time at a air compressed blow given off the points of the comb F, which on its external surface has got a lot of holes that suck the paper and towards it under the core. The core , being previously glued from the cardboard core gluing group T, allows that the paper is glued to the core and begins the following paper roll creation.

When the paper roll join the wished diameter it starts the winding exchange phase between the two winding station B and C or vice versa. This phase is always keeping the operating paper speed and at least constant. When the paper roll (log) is finished on the winding station B and the roll (log) winding begins on the winding station C, the winding station B can even stops, the paper roll is transferred into the final edge rewinding station and extraction D and the gluing group Q put the necessary glue to glue the final edge in all its length. Once the final edge is wound the paper roll (log) is extracted from the properly extractor D to make way at the following paper roll (log). Same procedure for the paper roll (log) that has reached the wished diameter into the winding station C and has began the roll (log) winding on the winding station B, the winding station C stops, the paper roll is transferred, by means of the arm S while it positions the following core in the point χ, into the final edge rewinding and extraction E and the gluing group R put the necessary glue to glue the final edge in all its length. Once the final edge is wound the paper roll (log) is extracted from the properly extractor E to make way at the following paper roll (log).
