Abstract:
Provided is a vertical axis-type wind-powered electricity generation device with which it is possible to increase the amount of electricity that is generated while maintaining or improving the startup performance. With respect to a vertical axis-type wind-powered electricity generation device having a windmill and an electricity generation unit, with the windmill having a vertically extending rotary shaft, at least one arm extending toward the outer periphery from the rotary shaft, and at least one blade affixed to the arm, this vertical axis-type wind-powered electricity generation device (1) has at least a first windmill (10) and a second windmill (20), with the first windmill (10) and the second windmill (20) having different rotational radii and rotating independently from each other.
