Abstract:
A vertical axis wind turbine having two independent oppositely-rotating impellers constructed along the same axis is characterized in that the two impellers are vertically configured along the same axis. A power generator consists of an inner-shaft rotor and a casing rotor. A rotating shaft (3) of the upper impeller is fixedly connected to the inner-shaft rotor, and a rotating shaft of the lower impeller is fixedly connected to the casing rotor. The upper impeller and the lower impeller rotate in different directions. An induction coil (28, 84) or an excitation coil (82) of the inner-shaft rotor or the casing rotor is electrically connected to a wiring terminal (22, 65) fixed to the base of a wind turbine via an electric sliding device. The wind turbine increases a resultant λ value of the wind turbine, and converts the resultant λ value into a relative linear velocity between the casing rotor and the inner-shaft rotor of the power generator, thereby improving the efficiency of power generation. The upper impeller and the lower impeller are paired together in various structural combinations, thereby improving the efficiency of power generation in low wind speed, while also preventing damage to the wind turbine due to stalling when the wind turbine encounters a gusty wind. The unique electric sliding device matches the structural characteristics of the wind turbine and the power generator. The invention is simple and easy to assemble.
