Abstract:
This vertical-axis wind turbine has a blade (9) connected to a vertical main shaft via a support body. The blade (9) has: a main blade part (10) extending parallel to the vertical main shaft; and a blade end inclination part (11) extending, from both end portions of the main blade part (10), obliquely bent toward the vertical main shaft side. The cross-sectional shape of the blade (9) is a shape in which the surface on the outer side and/or the surface on the inner side in a radial direction gradually bulges from both front and rear ends in the rotating direction of the blade (9) toward the outer side and/or the inner side in the radial direction so that the thickness in the radial direction becomes thickest at a portion on the front-end side in the rotating direction of the blade (9). The blade end inclination part (11) has a shape in which the width of the blade (9) in the rotating direction decreases toward the leading-edge side. The vertex position (P) of the blade end inclination part (11) is located such that the distance (B2) from the trailing edge in the rotating direction to the vertex position is within a range of 50-83% of the width (B1) of the blade (9) in the rotating direction.
