Abstract:
A vertical-axis wind turbine (1) having a plurality of blades (3) which are parallel to a rotational axis center (O) that extends along the vertical direction of a rotating central member (2), wherein the blades (3) and the rotating central member (2) are connected to each other by support members (4). The rotating central member (2) is in a rotor central part that is the center of a rotor (5) in the vertical direction. The blades (3) have a lift-type cross-sectional shape. The support members (4) extend diagonally from the rotating central member (2) to near the tips of the blades. The support members (4) are in the shape of plates that are curved convexly in a direction away from the rotational axis center (O).
