Abstract:
A vertical axis windmill (4) is provided with: a main axis (5) rotatably installed in a standing posture; a blade (9) extending in a vertical direction; and a support body (8) having one end thereof connected to the main shaft (5) and the other end thereof connected to the blade (9). A connected part (10) at which the other end of the support body (8) and the blade (9) are connected to each other has a first connection plate material (11), a second connection plate material (12), and a connection means (13). The first connection plate material (11) is fixed to the other end of the support body (8) and abuts on the surface of a skin constituting the surface of the blade (9). The second connection plate material (12) is arranged facing the first connection plate material (11) with the skin interposed therebetween and abuts on the rear surface of the skin. The connection means (13) connects the first connection plate material (11) and the second connection plate material (12) to each other.
