A vertical juicer having a pressing screw comprises a juicer base (1a), a juice collection chamber (2a) disposed on the juicer base (1a), and a screw (3a) longitudinally disposed in the juice collection chamber (2a). A juice outlet (21a) and a residue outlet (22a) are provided in the juice collection chamber (2a). A motor (11a) is disposed in the juicer base (1a). The screw (3a) comprises a screw shaft (31a) and a screw element (32a), and a spiral (321a) is provided at the screw element (32a). The juice collection chamber (2a) comprises a bottom wall and a side wall. A pressing barrel (4a) is further sleeved on the screw (3a). The pressing barrel (4a) is detachably disposed with respect to the juice collection chamber (2a), and comprises a barrel element (41a) open at the top and bottom thereof. A position-limiting ring (23a) is provided at the bottom wall of the juice collection chamber (2a). A lower portion of the pressing barrel (4a) and the position-limiting ring (23a) match with each other by means of insertion and form a lower filter gap (6a). The invention helps to increase juice extraction rates and speed, and facilitates disassembly and cleaning without adding accessories.
