Abstract:
A vertical roller mill provided with a fixed classifier, wherein the proportion of coarse grains in a pulverized coal product can be reduced. A vertical roller mill provided with a cyclone-type fixed classifier (20A) that classifies fine powder having a small particle diameter by centrifugal force and allows the classified powder to flow out to the outside, the cyclone-type fixed classifier (20A) being provided inside a housing (11), wherein the fixed classifier (20A) is configured so that a solid-gas two-phase flow is introduced from a fixed blade inlet window (22) opening on a cone (21) into the inside and the solid-gas two-phase flow is swirled using a fixed blade (23) attached in the inside vicinity of the fixed blade inlet window (22), whereby the fine powder flows out to the outside from a pulverized coal outlet (16) in an upper portion of the vertical roller mill through the lower end side of an inner cylinder (24) provided inside the cone (21), a surface layer (30) in which the rebound coefficient of collided particles is higher than in an iron plate surface being formed in the outer surface of the inner cylinder (24).
