Abstract:
Provided is a vertical transmission structure applied to a millimeter-wave-band electromagnetic wave. The vertical transmission structure comprises an upper partition plate, a lower partition plate, protrusions, a ridge gap, a probe and a rectangular waveguide, wherein the protrusions are arranged on the surface of one partition plate, and the ridge gap is arranged in the middle of the partition plate; the probe is located at the tail end of the ridge gap and extends into an inner cavity of the rectangular waveguide; and the protrusions, the upper partition plate and the lower partition plate constitute a high-impedance surface for guiding an electromagnetic wave to propagate in a preset direction. Periodically arranged metal structures are provided to cooperate with upper and lower partition plates to form a high-impedance surface structure, so as to prevent lateral propagation of an electromagnetic wave and suppress leakage and radiation of the electromagnetic wave; and a guide structure is added to the tail end of a ridge gap to guide the electromagnetic wave to propagate in a preset direction, and a perturbation is formed for an electromagnetic field, thereby achieving impedance conversion. The vertical transmission structure has excellent performances in terms of a wide frequency band, a low insertion loss and a small size; and the structure is small in terms of volume, is simple, and has an important engineering application value and wide application prospects in millimeter-wave hybrid integrated circuits.
