Title:
VERTICAL WIND POWER GENERATOR WITH VARIABLE LENGTH BLADES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/022230
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a vertical wind power generator with variable length blades, which comprises: a vertical shaft section; a blade section which applies the rotational force thereof to the shaft section while rotating by wind power with respect to the shaft section such that a separation distance between the front end portion thereof and the shaft section is variable; a wind directional interlocking section which rotates independently from the shaft section according to the change in wind direction; and a track rail which is formed on the wind directional interlocking section and guides the horizontal movement of the blade section such that the separation distance increases when the blade section rotates in a forward direction with respect to the wind direction while decreasing the separation distance when the blade section rotates in a reverse direction. According to the present invention, the separation distance between the blade section and the shaft section increases when rotating in the forward direction and decreases when rotating in the reverse direction, thereby increasing power generation efficiency by wind power via the increase in rotational force in the forward direction and the decrease in resistance in the reverse direction.
