Abstract:
Provided is a very short bit which has excellent durability, can prevent shaking, and is suitable for angular rotary tools. A very short bit (10) is constituted of a cutting edge (12), a trunk (18) that is fitted into a socket section of a rotary tool and receives rotational force coming from the rotary tool, a torsion section (16) which is thinner than the diameter in other regions and into which a locking member in the socket section of the rotary tool fits, and a circular cross-section region (14) provided with a circular cross-section shape inscribed in the cross-section shape of the trunk (18). The torsion section (16) prevents twisting during application of an overload that would destroy the cutting edge (12), and the circular cross-section region (14) of the very short bit (10), fitted into the socket section, abuts against a hexagonal hole inner surface of the socket section and minimizes shaking.
