Title:
VESSEL COMPRISING A SUPERSTRUCTURE AND A TANK FOR THE STORAGE OF LIQUEFIED GAS TO THE REAR OF THE SUPERSTRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/118320
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to a vessel comprising a superstructure and a sealed and thermally insulating tank (2), the tank being situated to the rear of the superstructure in the longitudinal direction. The tank comprises a bottom wall (22), two longitudinal walls (24), and two chamfered lower walls (25) each connecting the bottom wall to a longitudinal wall. One of the chamfered lower walls meets the bottom wall at a lower edge (32) and meets the adjacent longitudinal wall at an intermediate edge (33). A distance (B), parallel to the transverse direction (Z' - Z), between the median line (31) of the bottom wall and the intermediate edge, and a distance (C1), parallel to the transverse direction, between the lower edge and the intermediate edge, satisfy the inequality C1>= 0.45 B. Particular application to vessels for transporting a bulk solid product.
