Abstract:
A vibrating tool (10) used for the vibrational machining of a workpiece in a machine tool has a region (11) on the machine side and a region (12) on the workpiece side, the region on the workpiece side having a machining surface (13) that is to be placed on the workpiece. The inner length (li) lies outside a specified value range. The transverse plate (15) can have a projection (17), or defined rounded sections, or chamfers. In a method for designing a tool, a tool design with modified parameters is analysed with respect to target parameters with the aid of the finite-element method.
