Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to make stable vibration possible even with a thin, flat shaped movable member and thereby eliminate complexity of assembly and generate various forms of vibration that can achieve haptics. A vibration actuator is provided with: a movable member 2 provided with a weight part 2A; a frame 3 provided with a flat support surface 30; a plurality of rotating bodies 4 interposed between the movable member 2 and the flat support surface 30 and held so as to rotate freely; a plurality of elastic members 5 disposed between the movable member 2 and the frame 3 and elastically supporting the movable member 2 in different directions on the flat support surface 30; and a plurality of drive units 6 for driving the movable member 2 in different directions along the flat support surface 30 with a combination of a magnet 8 affixed on the movable member 2 side and a coil 7 affixed on the flat support surface 30 side. An alternating current with a resonant frequency set by the weight of the movable member 2 and the modulus of elasticity of the elastic member 5 is input to the coil 7.
