Abstract:
A vibration damping apparatus (10), comprising: an acceleration sensor (11), a signal processing system (12) and a vibration damper (13), wherein the signal processing system (12) is in communication connection with the acceleration sensor (11) and the vibration damper (13), respectively, by means of data lines; the acceleration sensor (11) is used to collect an acceleration signal generated by a vibration source; the signal processing system (12) is used to process the acceleration signal to obtain a vibration damping voltage signal; and the vibration damping voltage signal is used to drive the vibration damper (13) to vibrate. A vibration damping method applied to the vibration damping apparatus (10) is further provided. According to the vibration damping apparatus and method, by means of active vibration monitoring of a vibration source, a vibration motion state of the vibration source is accurately recorded; and a vibration damping voltage signal is generated on the basis of the vibration motion state of the vibration source, such that an efficient and accurate vibration damping effect can be achieved.
