Abstract:
Provided is a first hydraulic damper (15), one end of which is attached to a first attachment position (P1) on a vehicle body (2). Also provided is a second hydraulic damper (16), one end of which is linked via a linking member (17) to the other of the first hydraulic damper (15), and the other end of which is attached to a second attachment position (P2) on the vehicle body (2). The first and second hydraulic dampers (15, 16) include hydraulic cylinders (18), pistons (31), piston rods (19), free pistons (32), compression coil springs, first and second working oil passages for communicating first and second oil chambers, and narrowed openings in the working oil passages. The first hydraulic damper (15), the second hydraulic damper (16), and the linking rod (17) are linked in a state of being aligned in a longitudinal direction. The hydraulic cylinders (18) or the piston rods (19) are attached to the vehicle body (2), and the others are linked to the linking rod (17). A vibration damping device for a vehicle body that can further improve the comfort of riding in a vehicle can thereby be provided.
