Abstract:
A vibration damping device provided with a pair of vibration damping rubber members each comprising: an outer tube which is connected to a vibration generating body or a vibration receiving body through a bracket member and has a first flange section formed on an end on the outer side axially of the outer tube so as to project outward radially; an inner tube which is connected to the other of the vibration generating body or the vibration receiving body through a plate member and is located on the inner side of the outer tube; and a body rubber member which is provided between the outer tube and the inner tube. The pair of first flange sections sandwich the bracket member with the inner ends axially of the vibration damping rubber members facing each other, and this connects the vibration damping rubber members to the bracket member. Also, a fastening member inserted through the inside of the pair of inner tubes presses inward axially the pair of plate members respectively arranged on the outer side axially of the pair of body rubber members. As a result, the vibration damping rubber members are sandwiched by the plate members from both sides axially. First stopper rubber members consisting of a rubber material having hardness higher than the hardness of a rubber material forming the body rubber members are each secured to the inner peripheral surface of each of the outer tubes or the outer peripheral surface of each of the inner tubes with a radial spacing from the other of the inner peripheral surface or the outer peripheral surface.
