Abstract:
A vibration damping device which enables the structure of a resin mold to be simplified. A vibration damping device comprising: a connection member (10) consisting of a resin material and provided with leg sections (13) in which thin-walled and thick-walled elastic bodies (45, 46), which are vulcanized and bonded to short-axis and long-axis mounting members (50, 51), are press-fitted, and also with a body section (11) which is formed so as to be continuous with the leg sections; a vibration damping base (40) for connecting an inner tube (30) to the body section (11) of the connection member (10) and consisting of a rubber-like elastic body. The direction of the axes of press-fitting holes which are formed in the leg sections (13) and into which both the elastic bodies (45, 46) are press-fitted and the direction of the axis of the inner tube (30) are configured to be parallel to each other, and as a result, when the vibration damping device (1) is removed from the resin mold after the connection member (10) is injection-molded, the vibration damping device (1) can be drawn in the same direction. Thus, the structure of the resin mold can be simplified by simplifying the separation structure of the resin mold.
