Abstract:
Provided is a vibration-damping device having a plurality of rotation elements including an output element and an input element to which torque from an engine is transmitted, wherein: the vibration-damping device is provided with a first torsionally rigid mechanism that is disposed between the input element and the output element and has positive torsional rigidity, and a second torsionally rigid mechanism that acts in parallel with the first torsionally rigid mechanism between the input element and the output element and has negative torsional rigidity; and the torsional rigidity of the second torsionally rigid mechanism increases negatively as the engine speed increases. This makes it possible to expand the speed range in which high vibration-damping performance can be exhibited, with respect to the input element to which torque from the engine is transmitted.
