Abstract:
A vibration detection device that exhibits improved wearability and can prevent the application of pressure exceeding an acceptable level. Said vibration detection device is provided with a vibration detection element (2a), a first case (1), and a vibration transmission medium (4). The vibration detection element (2a) detects vibrations from a vibration source (8). The first case (1) contains the vibration detection element (2a) and has, on the side in contact with the vibration source (8), a pressure limitation part (12) that limits the pressure applied to a vibration detection surface (3) of the vibration detection element (2a). The vibration transmission medium (4) is formed from a macromolecular material with a Shore A hardness of 0-50. With the contact pressure between the vibration transmission medium and the vibration source (8) limited by the pressure limitation part (12), the vibration transmission medium (4) transmits vibrations from the vibration source (8) to the vibration detection surface (3) of the vibration detection element (2a). The vibration detection element (2a) is embedded inside the first case (1) with the vibration transmission medium (4) interposed therebetween.
