Abstract:
Provided is a vibration device that can suppress leakage and damping of vibrations. This vibration device 1 is provided with: a vibration element 2 that has a cylindrical vibrator 3 including a first open end face 3a and a second open end face 3b; a support 15, which, when the axial direction is defined as a direction connecting the first open end face 3a and the second open end face 3b of the vibrator 3, extends in the axial direction and supports the vibrator 3; and a connection member 14 that connects the vibrator 3 to the support 15. The vibrator 3 performs breathing vibration so as to generate a first node and a second node at different positions in the axial direction of the vibration element 2 and the connection member 14 is positioned between the first node and the second node.
